We think we have found that place, a stretch of land between two white sand beaches. Paulson's Point is on the Gulf of Nicoya and is flanked on one side by the Pacific and on the other side by miles of untouched nature with an occasional fishing village scattered along the coast. Just across the bay, the Puntarenas port; a modern city with all the amenities and facilities you should need and the international environment a cruise ship port of call can offer.

The Site

Only 6 Km from the Playa Naranjo Ferry from Puntarenas that operates year around on a daily schedule. A public access road connects the property to the ferry. Just a 30 minute boat ride (in a small craft) from Puntarenas brings you to Punta Pericos (Paulson's Point) which is a gently undulated peninsula. The layout of the land combines beach to ground with an altitude of 15 to 40 meters above sea level allowing for a spectacular view of the Gulf and islands from most of the property.

Punta Pericos has access to two of the most beautiful beaches on the Gulf. Playa Blanca and Playa Palomo, which are both made up of white coral sand (very unusual inside of the Gulf of Nicoya!) The water, with its emerald green and royal blue shades, gently lap at the shoreline and make you wonder if you are not in a gigantic spa. It is simply entrancing and forces relaxation on those who visit.

Not far from Paulson's Point, just a short walk down the beach in Playa Blanca or Gigante village, each afternoon you can purchase the catch of the day from the local fishermen, usually consisting of sea bass, shrimp, lobster, grouper or in the worst case some yellow fin tuna; all at non tourist prices.

The property itself is 8.5 Ha (approximately 37.5 Acres) that is serviced with public power and water is supplied from a private well located on the property.

Twenty years ago, the previous owners of the property stopped all farming activities in the area. It is easy to see how fast the forest and the wild life recover from the past use of the land. The property is natural and exhibits all the characteristics of the surrounding country side with its charming foliage and wildlife. Public roads provide easy access to the property from the local village and ferry.
